MAURI Restaurant earns recognition with an Award of Excellence in this year’s Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards.
Located in a prime spot in Petitenget, MAURI Restaurant is the island’s go-to destination for a refined Italian dining experience with a comfortable ambience. Helmed by chef-owner Maurizio Bombini, the fine dining establishment offers diners contemporary Italian dishes inspired by the chef’s southern Italian heritage. Having opened in late 2018, the restaurant is now honoured for its outstanding wine programme with an Award of Excellence in the Wine Spectator 2021 Restaurant Awards.
Held annually, Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards recognise restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.
Upholding the vision to lead the culinary front in Indonesia, MAURI Restaurant encourages diners to discover the unique taste of Apulia’s cuisine accompanied by the perfect wine pairing. The restaurant’s sommelier, I Putu Surya, is responsible for creating fond memories by assisting guests with wine recommendations and preparing a selection of exquisite wines from the extensive wine list.
MAURI’s wine list predominantly represents Italy’s finest wines with selected producers, great iconic vintages and an extensive selection by the glass. The restaurant also offers a selective French wine list, as well as premium bottles from several countries, including the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina.
To further indulge wine lovers, MAURI Restaurant launched Premium Wine by the Glass by Coravin in 2020. This is an exclusive way to allow diners the chance to enjoy the finest wines by the glass, including delights such as Gaja, Rossj-Bass from Piemonte Italy, Remoissenet Père et Fils, Chassagne-Montrachet from Burgundy France, Antinori Tignanello from Toscana Italy and Penfolds, St. Henri, Shiraz.
