Named after the serene atmosphere of the Payangan highlands that surround it, the Payangan Lounge at Padma Resort Ubud has recently been renovated and revamped. With its relaxed open-air space amidst lush greenery, upon adding more visible colour, Payangan Lounge is sure to quickly become guests’ favourite.
Just a step away from the lobby, Payangan Lounge is open every day from 12pm to 12am. Surrounded by lush gardens and koi ponds, Payangan Lounge is the perfect spot at the resort to unwind after breakfast, enjoy afternoon tea, or savour pre-dinner aperitifs throughout the day and into the evening.
Payangan Lounge serves an array of artisan sweets from chocolate bonbons to cakes, as well as nibble, pâtisserie, coffee and cocktails. Creations courtesy of Pastry Chef Nico are inspired by the resort’s surrounding environment, such as the Klepon Cake, a coconut and palm sugar dessert shaped like a bamboo that grows around Padma Resort Ubud. Guests are also spoiled by the extensive assortment of savoury western selections such as baked nachos, quiche lorraine, classic bruschetta, and much more. In addition, Payangan Lounge offers a variety of delicious homemade cookies that pair perfectly with a hot latte.
For those interested in cocktails, the bar also serves a series of a refreshing, hand-crafted cocktails, featuring handpicked herbs and locally sourced ingredients. One cocktail not to be missed is The Payangan, which uses arak bumbung as its base, mixed with homemade cinnamon syrup and Angostura bitters. Shisha is also available to complete guests’ satisfaction.
There never was a whole lot missing from the existential comfort available at Padma Resort Ubud, but with the addition of many new features at the Payangan Lounge, guests should be prepared to be treated to a feeling of tranquillity they’ve never had before.
