The Return of Ubud’s Icon

The Return of Ubud’s Icon

Chris Salans & Blake Thornley

Award-winning Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique, long famed for its exquisite haute cuisine dinners will finally reopen its doors to diners in December.

Ubud’s most iconic dining destination for over 20 years, Mozaic is reopening its doors again after almost a year of solitude. During that time, chef-owner Chris Salans started the process of redeveloping the restaurant moving forward.

With the reopening of Mozaic, Chef Chris Salans is once again re-partnering with Chef Blake Thornley to deliver a revamped and fresh Mozaic experience to diners. Famed for marrying local ingredients and refined international preparation and artful presentation to satisfy both the eye and tantalise the taste buds with flavours that dazzle the palate, Mozaic has been a pioneer in the fine dining world of Bali and helped to establish the island as a leading Asian culinary destination.

The island’s distinguished diners will see Chris Salans and Blake Thornley bring decades of experience to the palate, and bring new excitement to Ubud’s dining scene by modernising the feel of Mozaic in ways that are both contemporary and inviting. Chef Blake, who draws inspiration from his love of natural flavours and colours, has done something magical to the restaurant’s décor, emphasizing green colours and natural wood finishes, Mozaic promises a multi-sensory experience.
