Three years after its launch, TELU Bar continues to champion sustainability through repurposed materials, artistic collaboration and a concept rooted in Bali’s culture and community.

TELU Bar Celebrates Three Years of Sustainable DesignTELU Bar at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is celebrating its third anniversary this month, marking three years since an underused area of the resort was transformed into a bar focused on sustainability, design, and local culture.

From the beginning, the project was developed using reclaimed materials sourced from previous renovations across the resort. Timber, stone, metal and decorative elements were repurposed and incorporated into the design, reducing waste while giving existing materials a new function.

Named after the Balinese word for “three”, TELU takes inspiration from the philosophy of harmony between people, nature and community. This concept is reflected throughout the venue, including its design, cocktail programme and community initiatives.

To mark the anniversary, TELU has introduced a new artwork by Bali-based artist Michael Hockey of Nyaman Gallery. Known for working with discarded plastics and found materials, Hockey was commissioned to create a piece that aligns with the bar’s focus on reuse and sustainability. The artwork explores the idea of transformation, highlighting how materials often considered waste can be repurposed into something new.

Over the past three years, TELU has established itself as a destination for guests seeking a cocktail experience that goes beyond drinks alone. The venue combines contemporary mixology with a commitment to responsible design and support for local creative communities.

As TELU enters its fourth year, the bar continues to build on its original concept while introducing new collaborations and experiences. Anniversary celebrations throughout the month will feature its signature cocktails, ongoing sustainability initiatives and the newly unveiled artwork, offering guests an opportunity to experience the latest chapter in the venue’s evolution.

Today, TELU stands as an example of how existing spaces and materials can be reimagined through thoughtful design, creating a destination that is both functional and environmentally conscious.
