In an event that set the bar high for mixology enthusiasts, Lucas Bols, the world’s first cocktail brand, made a spectacular return to Indonesia with its highly anticipated Bols Cocktail Battle in 2024. After several years of hiatus, the competition was back with a bang, embracing the vibrant theme of Bols Disco Fever.
This international competition, which seeks to inspire bartenders worldwide, was held simultaneously in 30 countries. Indonesia showcased remarkable enthusiasm, registering the highest number of participants, with 108 talented individuals submitting their best disco cocktail recipes. From this pool of creativity, the Lucas Bols global brand team meticulously selected the top 13 Indonesian bartenders.
The journey to the grand finale began on 1 April 2024, and ended on 17 May 2024, with the final event held at the eclectic Motel Mexicola in Canggu on 11 June 2024. This event saw the finalists present their innovative cocktail creations to four esteemed judges: Exquisite Media’s Managing Editor Rizky Adityo,

The Bols Disco Fever theme brought back the spirit of iconic disco cocktails, and competitors were challenged to craft new-era disco cocktails that were fun, exciting and perfect for dancing the night away. The event successfully revived the vibrant disco era, infusing it with modern mixology flair.
Ni Nyoman Yuliana from KU DE TA in Bali emerged victorious with her ABBA-inspired Dancing Queen cocktail. Her victory not only earned her the top spot but also the honour of representing Indonesia at the prestigious Cocktail Fever Festival in the Netherlands. This festival promises to be an extraordinary journey, offering winners from around the globe a three-day extravaganza of training, engaging seminars and invaluable networking opportunities.
