Celebrating Creativity

The Balvenie shows its support for creativity by launching The Makers Project, a beautiful showcase of craftsmanship through hard work, determination and passion.

The Balvenie launches The Makers Project, featuring a collaboration with a renowned Indonesian artist Diela Maharanie, who explores modern creativity, and perseverance in the manufacturing process, and shows how The Makers put their hearts into each of their creations.

As a tribute to the passion and respect for the best craftsmanship, The Balvenie and Diela Maharanie collaborates to present a piece of art entitled Cendrawasih, and a limited-edition gift set inspired by it.

Diela Maharani’s work inspired by Cendrawasih, Rafflesia flowers, and the famous traditional dancer are the three distinctive elements from Indonesia that inspired this design. Completed with passion, skill and imagination, the elements come alive thanks to the various colours displayed. This is clear evidence of someone who continues to perfect her work so that it never fails to amaze the senses of the audience.

This collaboration between The Balvenie and Diela Maharanie reflects the shared passion for the creative process, as well as the time and focus that goes into creating something extraordinary. Diela has elevated her natural talents to breakthrough works by pouring her passion, personality and heart into each of her works and embodying the true craftsmanship spirit of The Balvenie.

“At The Balvenie, we are constantly striving to collaborate with like-minded people who share our passion to create something extraordinary and our partnership with Diela Maharanie is a testament to this. The Makers who collaborate with us are artists and craftsmen who devote all their minds and prioritize originality in each of their works. Just like the craftspeople in the distillery, each has a unique story to tell, and I’m thrilled to see these stories unfolding as we present these visually stunning gifts with a purchase of The Balvenie in the Southeast Asia region,” said Brett Bayly, Southeast Asia Brand Ambassador for The Balvenie

Each gift set consists of ceramic whiskey glass and coasters that have been specially designed by Diela Maharani, along with a handcrafted bottle of The Balvenie. The special gift sets are available only at Red&White stores in Jakarta, and the surrounding neighbourhood.
