Glenfiddich unveils Grand Château, a 31-year-old single malt masterpiece finished in Bordeaux wine casks, blending indulgent flavours with bold artistry to redefine whisky luxury.
Glenfiddich, renowned as the World’s Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, introduces Grand Château, an extraordinary addition to its prestigious Grand Series. This newest limited-edition 31-year-old masterpiece exemplifies the art of innovation, blending two worlds of luxury into one remarkable experience. Matured in American oak casks and finished for nine years in iconic Bordeaux wine casks, Grand Château redefines whisky craftsmanship.
Celebrating a fresh fusion of flavour, the extended Bordeaux wine cask finish weaves a rich tapestry of unexpected flavours. Indulgent and rich, notes of caramelised cherry and baked apple intertwine with warming spices and hints of toasted oak, creating an opulent yet grounded whisky. The result is an exquisite balance of fruity vibrance and floral elegance, a sensory journey as indulgent as it is unexpected.
This limited-edition whisky is part of The Glenfiddich Grand Series, a collection that celebrates the fusion of cultures and craftsmanship. Each bottle tells a story of heritage and innovation, inspired by the union of single malt whisky with global influences.
The artistry extends beyond the liquid. Grand Château’s display boxes pay homage to Glenfiddich’s deep connection to the arts. French street artist André Saraiva brings his creativity to the packaging, creating “The Artist’s Edition” through 250 traditional Toile de Jouy display boxes, using them as a canvas to add his playful design.
The limited edition display boxes also feature Saraiva’s iconic “Mr. A” character, a figure that has travelled the world from the streets of Paris to Seoul, from New York to Shenzhen, adding a bold, contemporary twist.
Grand Château is the latest addition to the Grand series, which includes Grand Yozakura, a limited edition 29-Year-Old whisky the first Single Malt Scotch Whisky to be finished in rare ex-Awamori casks; Grande Couronne, a 26 Year Old Scotch Whisky matured in American and European oak casks and finished for up to two years in meticulously sourced French Cognac casks; Glenfiddich Grand Cru, aged for 23 years in American and European oak casks and then finessed in French Cuvée oak casks; Gran Cortes, a refined Glenfiddich whisky aged for 22 years in traditional Sherry oak before finishing in very rare Palo Cortado Sherry casks, only available in Asia and Glenfiddich Gran Reserva, patiently mellowed for 21 years in European and American Oak casks before a final flourish in Caribbean Rum casks.
