Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach has welcomed a distinguished new figure to its vibrant shores. Halil Asar, a seasoned maestro in the world of hospitality, steps in as the newly appointed Director of Food & Beverages, marking a bold move for the resort as it elevates its gastronomic vision.
With a storied career that began as a Restaurant General Manager and Sommelier, Halil’s journey has taken him from the acclaimed three-Michelin-starred Parkheuvel in Rotterdam to senior roles across the Middle East, including his most recent post at Delano Hotel Dubai. His accolades include the prestigious “Sommelier of the Year” award in 2014, recognition by LQA for outstanding service, and a place among the 2023 “Hotel & Catering 40 F&B All-Stars” for his leadership at KATA, Dubai’s celebrated Japanese dining destination.
A polyglot with an insatiable appetite for culture, Halil speaks five languages and authored Gastheer & Sommelier Halil Asars Roadtrip, a culinary travelogue across Europe. His passion for storytelling through food promises to breathe new life into the resort’s culinary offerings, including the chic seaside venue SugarSand.
