Located on the second floor of InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza Hotel, Scusa has always been considered one of the best Italian restaurants in Jakarta. Perfect for dinner and lunch, either for a business meeting or a romantic date, guests will love the atmosphere and intimate feeling in Scusa, which is elegant and playful at the same time. The new Executive Chef, Gianluca Visciglia, joined InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza Hotel in January 2015 and has since created an array of new signature dishes to indulge his guests. All of the restaurant’s staff are polite and well-trained; they will advise guests on which course to order as well as offering a detailed description of each dish. The complimentary bread has a very appealing aroma; it’s very fluffy and tastes delicious. The candied fruit inside the bread gives it an additional sweet flavour. The cheese sticks are also great.


Chef Gianluca introduces you to unique ravioli. Freshly made braised veal cheek ravioli served with pumpkin and parmesan sauce and truffle cream. The ravioli is juicy and tastes creamy; the parmesan sauce completes the flavour, along with the sweetness from the pumpkin and truffle cream. Or you can try the very juicy and fresh lamb loin, so juicy that you can taste the sauce in every layer of the meat. This oven-baked almond crusted lamb loin is served with roasted vegetables and lemon mint salsa verde. Among the plentiful selection of desserts, you might consider white chocolate and pistachio bavaroise served with blueberry sauce. It’s the perfect dessert to end your dining in Scusa and sends you home with a smile upon your face.

Not to be missed is Chef Gianluca’s creation; Seared Scallops with Orange-Mustard Sauce. The scallops are heavenly delicious! The appearance of this dish is also beautiful, served with fennel, orange-grain mustard sauce and sweet potato chips. They are cooked to perfection, resulting in a soft yet chewy texture that is combined with amazing flavours from the sauce. These are no ordinary scallops and too good to resist!
