EDGE & KEYAKI AT PAN PACIFIC SINGAPORE

Although being family friendly is extremely accommodating, there are some restaurants, like Edge at the Pan Pacific Singapore, that offer experiences that are unashamedly for adults. And, on Sundays, with plush carpets, polished wood and marble, this spacious and opulent eatery located within one of Singapore’s most prestigious hotels, presents its renowned Champagne Sunday Brunch. From the fines de claire oysters and Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label bubbly, to the candy crush sponge cakes, it really is one for the grown-ups.

Based around seven open kitchens or food theatres, the most difficult decision might actually be what to try first! Glass of bubbly in hand, why not peruse the iced seafood? Here oversized prawns are joined by an impressive selection of crayfish, several different species of lobster, clams and the delicious fines de claire oysters imported from the French Atlantic coast where they are harvested in the oyster beds of the Marennes Oléron basin – perfection paired with the Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label.

Or be impressed by the sashimi and sushi and other authentic Japanese dishes lifted from its magnificent Japanese restaurant, Keyaki. Maybe it’s dim sum, noodles or satay you crave? Or perhaps something from the large Thai and Indian stations?

In addition to the extensive Asian cuisine, there are ample international gastronomic treats. The buffet items should not be missed, but the à la minute options really are something else! Check out the duck confit ravioli or the eggs Benedict with truffle coulis or the melt-in-your-mouth pan-seared foie gras. Using only the very best seafood and cuts of meat, grilled and seasoned to your taste in the grill food theatre, and with a terrific selection of hot and cold desserts, Edge offers a full-on brunch experience for lovers of fabulous food and, with many dishes being cooked to order, the freshness is guaranteed.

The brunch opens at midday and closes at 4PM which gives more than ample time to work your way through the substantial international and regional offerings from the food stations and to enjoy the unlimited Veuve Clicquot champagne, selected wines, beers and classic cocktails.
