The five-star beachfront resort will see more culinary creations and gastronomic experiences under the helm of the new director of culinary.
W Bali – Seminyak recently announced the appointment of Norberto Valdez Palacios as the new director of culinary. Norberto will helm the culinary team in the five-star beachfront resort that is known for its FIRE and Starfish Bloo restaurants, as well as one of the most sought-after Sunday brunches in Bali and the popular Woobar Bali.
Norberto was born in Argentina and he started his culinary career after he finished his culinary training in the Instituto Argentino de Gastronomia and obtained his culinary art degree in professional gastronomic from Ecole Le Notre Argentine. He started out as a chef de partie and chef instructor, before getting his first executive chef position in 2006.
His repertoire also includes an experience as an external chef-consultant for one of the known beach clubs in Mexico, helping the pre-opening culinary team to set up two restaurants. In 2019, Norberto joined the W family as the executive chef for W Maldives, where he led a multicultural team of food professionals to run three restaurants, as well as several special events with international chefs.
