Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan kicks off its new bar programme with an energetic evening at Embers Open-Fire Grill, featuring Johnnie Walker Blonde, signature cocktails and live entertainment.
Jakarta’s nightlife just got a little brighter. On Friday evening, Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan introduced its Take Over Bar series at Embers Open-Fire Grill, teaming up with Johnnie Walker Blonde to deliver a night that felt fresh, social and full of energy. With the theme KEEP WALKING, the first event brought in a lively crowd ready for bold cocktails and great music, with guest mixologists Bill Bronson and Nicky Offandio behind the bar and DJ Putri Citra setting the tone with a vibrant set.
Much of the evening’s charm came from its setting. The open-fire kitchen creates an inviting buzz, giving guests a front-row seat to the action. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Jakarta’s skyline, while the lighting and layout strike a balance between relaxed and energetic, making it the perfect place for something different.
The Take Over Bar concept brings a fresh approach to nightlife. It’s not just about the drinks, but how they’re made and shared. Guests could watch the bartenders work, ask questions and connect through the experience. Every cocktail came with a story, making each pour feel personal without being overdone.
Johnnie Walker Blonde made a great first partner, with its smooth, light character highlighted through custom drinks created for the night. The addition of giveaways and spontaneous interactions kept the mood upbeat and easygoing well into the evening.
The next edition of Take Over Bar is set for 20 June 2025, this time featuring Friendship Vodka. With signature cocktails by Willy Gunawan and Nicky Offandio, a DJ set from Joan Cerry, small bites, games and surprise prizes, the series is already shaping up to be one to watch. Tickets start at IDR350,000++ and include free-flow cocktails.
