For two exquisite evenings, Bella Cucina invites you to discover a rare fusion of Italian tradition and Asian refinement as Bangkok’s acclaimed Chef Sasha Phoomcharoen joins forces with Barbanera Winery for a five-course culinary journey that celebrates elegance, innovation and timeless flavour.
This month, InterContinental Bali Resort welcomes guests to an exceptional culinary event that blends Italian tradition with Asian finesse. For two nights, Bella Cucina will present The Remarkable Nights of Italian Elegance, featuring a collaboration between Chef Sasha Phoomcharoen, a rising talent from Bangkok, and Barbanera Winery, renowned for its Italian craftsmanship.
Set in the elegant, Mediterranean-inspired dining room of Bella Cucina, this experience offers a thoughtfully curated five-course meal. Each dish articulates a narrative of heritage and innovation, showcasing ingredients and techniques from both cultures. Highlights include the Gambero Rosso Crudo, topped with Italian caviar, and the Tiramisù della Nonna, a fourth-generation recipe recognised as Best Classic Tiramisu 2024. Each course exemplifies the fusion of classic Italian flavours with refined Asian influences.
Chef Phoomcharoen’s culinary journey began in her mother’s kitchen in Thailand, leading her to graduate at the top of her class from Rome’s Italian Chef Academy. Her dedication allowed her to work at La Pergola, Rome’s only three-Michelin-starred restaurant, under the mentorship of Chef Heinz Beck. Now celebrated for her innovative approach and elegant presentations at HYBRID Restaurant in Bangkok, she brings her unique vision to Bali for this limited engagement.
The dining experience will be enhanced with exceptional wine pairings from Barbanera, a family-owned Tuscan winery with a rich history of balancing tradition and innovation since 1938. Guests can look forward to tasting the esteemed Toscana Rosso “Vecciano” and other distinguished selections that have received accolades both in Italy and internationally.
Bella Cucina’s Chef de Cuisine Boris Linton and his skilled team will work alongside Chef Phoomcharoen to create an evening that is both intimate and grand, with each course meticulously prepared and presented.
The first night, on 11 July 2025, will feature a wine pairing dinner, priced at IDR1,200,000++ per person. The second night, 12 July 2025, offers a five-course dinner for IDR 995,000++ per person. Seats are limited for this exclusive event, where the beauty of Italian cuisine is interpreted through the expertise of one of Asia’s most promising chefs.
