Classical music takes a prominent place in Bali’s festive calendar this December as Padma Resort Legian welcomes back British-Indonesian pianist George Harliono for a special performance with Korean soprano Hera Hyesang Park. Taking place on 12 December at the resort’s Plumeria Grand Ballroom, the evening marks Hera’s Bali debut and George’s return to the Padma Musical Series.
George has performed at major concert halls around the world, with his career taking him from early solo recitals to international competitions. He gave his first full solo recital at nine and made his concerto debut at twelve, before receiving the Silver Medal at the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2023. His performance history includes appearances at Wigmore Hall and Royal Albert Hall, as well as with the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
Hera makes her Bali debut with an international career already established on major opera stages. The Korean soprano and exclusive Deutsche Grammophon recording artist has performed at the Metropolitan Opera and Paris Opéra. Her repertoire includes leading roles in La bohème and Don Giovanni, while her album Breathe received the 2024 Opus Klassik Award for Videoclip of the Year.
The performance brings George’s piano playing together with Hera’s operatic voice. For audiences in Bali, the appeal is simple: two internationally recognised artists sharing one stage for an evening of live classical music at Padma Resort Legian.
