Known as the Festival of Lights, Deepavali celebrates light, new beginnings, and togetherness. The event will bring these themes to Bintan through a programme combining food, entertainment, and activities for guests of different ages.
The culinary offering will be one of the evening’s main attractions. Guests can look forward to Kambing Guling, alongside a selection of Indian-inspired dishes, with the full menu to be announced. A Masala Chai Station will serve the traditional spiced tea, while the Deepavali Saffron Cooler will provide a refreshing alternative.
Set by the beach at Lagoi Bay, El Lagoi Beach Club offers a setting for guests to enjoy dinner while taking part in the festivities. The event is designed for families, friends, and couples looking to mark the occasion with food and entertainment.
The programme will also feature live music and traditional dance performances, introducing guests to Indian cultural traditions. Henna art will be available throughout the evening, alongside face painting for those who want to take part in the creative activities.
A fireworks display above Lagoi Bay will close the celebration, bringing the evening’s programme to an end.
Deepavali – Festival of Lights will take place on Sunday, 8 November 2026, from 6pm onwards at El Lagoi Beach Club, Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Lagoi Bay. Children aged six to 11 will receive a 50% discount.
With its combination of Indian-inspired food, cultural performances, and family-friendly activities, the event offers visitors another way to experience Bintan beyond its beaches and resorts.
