Hotel Borobudur Jakarta expressed its commitment to support the environmental campaign in dealing climate change and global warming by hosting the Earth Hour 2017. For one hour on 25th March 2017 from 8.30PM to 9.30PM, the employees and guests of the hotel participated in the Earth Hour as the hotel turned off the lights and other electronic appliances to conserve energy. Up to around 250 people gathered in the hotel’s garden area to light the environmentally friendly candles, be entertained by the home band Discovery Talent and make the most of the hour. During this event, Hotel Borobudur Jakarta also introduced its latest feature, the butterfly dome. Standing strong at 10.1 metres wide and 3.5 metres tall, the butterfly dome allows guests to observe and learn about 32 butterfly species that have been bred by the garden team of Hotel Borobudur Jakarta.
