From 23 to 29 September 2024, Amarterra Villas Resort Bali Nusa Dua will host Mark Week, presented by Autograph Collection Hotels. This whole event is prepared to reflect the brand’s motto of being “Exactly Like Nothing Else,” which celebrates individuality and distinctiveness.
During The Mark Week this year, Amarterra Bali presents a sacred Balinese blessing ritual, and each guest can experience it upon arrival. This resort will elevate this experience, providing a deeply immersive journey into Bali’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
The heart of the celebration is a traditional purification ceremony, where blessed water is used in a sacred ritual for spiritual cleansing and cultural immersion. This ceremony is deeply aligned with the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which encourages harmony between humanity, nature and the divine.
On 27 September, the resort will host a special event to celebrate The Mark Week, which opens with a traditional Kul Kul, a ceremonial signal for gathering, and continues with creating Canangsari offerings and decorating Gebogan for all participants—both are intricate fruit displays that pay homage to the gods.
Additionally, there will be a Balinese procession at the resort’s Padmasana temple, where guests can take part in a Balinese blessing ceremony conducted by the resort priest in the evening. The ritual is believed to bring spiritual and emotional well-being and create a deeper sense of harmony with oneself and the environment. The evening will culminate in a lavish Balinese dinner at the resort’s renowned Candra Suriya Gate, complete with traditional dance performances honouring Bali’s vibrant culture.
