Lyon at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta

warm brasserie feel and authentic French cuisine cooked with traditional techniques await fine food lovers at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s Lyon. With a menu boasting sophisticated, wholesome and hearty dishes crafted by Chef de Cuisine Edi Tan, who trained under the renowned Chef Ebbe Vollmer and Chef Julien Royer, French food aficionados are assured of satisfaction every time.

Using only the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients, the menu is packed with tempting delights, including an exquisite Bouillabaisse, a traditional fish stew from Provence. However, our must-try dishes at Lyon are the classic onion soup, thanks to its rich broth densely packed with onions, topped with AOC Comté cheese and croutons.

‘After Eight’ Chocolate Bar

From the grill, the stunning chateaubriand, cut from the thickest part of the beef tenderloin, melts in the mouth and is served with a choice of sauce and side dish, while to wrap up the meal, among the many tempting deserts – including Normandie Chocolate Tart with sea salt caramel ice cream – is the “After Eight” chocolate bar, a delightful mousse-style treat served with refreshing peppermint gel.

In addition to the excellent à la carte menu, Lyon offers a business lunch menu on weekdays for gourmands with time constraints, as well as an enticing Saturday brunch that is perfect for a relaxed dining experience with friends and family. Lyon has two private dining rooms, The Glass Room and The Beaujolais, for more intimate gatherings and private celebrations, as well as an outstanding drinks menu and wine cellar.
