E: What drove you to the world of mixology? Has it always your passion?
A: Absolutely! Getting into mixology was like discovering a new realm of creativity. It’s the perfect fusion of precision and flair, and who doesn’t love a good cocktail? As for the passion, well, it grew on me like a perfectly aged whisky – smooth, complex and utterly irresistible.
E: What are your responsibilities as Head of Artesian Bar Jakarta?
A: My responsibilities are like a carefully crafted cocktail – a mix of planning, creativity and a sprinkle of gambling. From curating the perfect bar menu to create an interesting campaigns and programmes, it’s my job to ensure that every guest journey is nothing short of extraordinary.
E: What’s a typical day like in your field of work?
A: Every day as head of Artesian Bar Jakarta is like preparing a spectacular show, but instead of dancers, I work with bottles, glasses and music. From fine-tuning the ambience to crafting new intrigues, it’s a nonstop wheel of creativity, precision and a hint of delightful mischief. Each day is an adventure.
E: What’s a typical day like when you have a day off?
A: On a day off it’s completely the opposite. You’ll find me snuggled in my bed watching Schindler’s List, redecorating my room and cleaning up literally everything in it, or I might wander off alone completely free from checking my phone up, away from social media in order to recharge the energy that was drained the whole week.
E: Who has been the most influential figure in your career to date?
A: Kiki Utara, the former head public relations of one of the biggest food and beverage groups in Jakarta. if Jakarta have a PR, it’s definitely him. He was the one who put me in the PR world and pushed me to be more than just a PR.
E: Team player or team leader?
A: Both roles have their own unique value! As a team player, I thrive on collaboration, drawing energy and ideas from those around me. While as a team leader, I’m enthusiastic about guiding and inspiring others to bring their best to the table. I’m a versatile mix of both, I’m ready to step into whichever role best serves the moment and the team.
E: Name one really special thing about Artesian Bar Jakarta.
A: It’s a place where every visit is not just about enjoying a drink, but embarking on a flavourful journey that captivates the senses and leaves a lasting impression.
E: Is there any exciting plan for Artesian Bar Jakarta in the near future that you can share with us?
A: We’re currently preparing series of events for this year and it’s going to be amazing. We have unique and innovative cocktail creation that still need to be introduced to the market, and of course we have exciting projects in the pipeline.
E: What is the most important trait to have in your work?
A: It is integrity and a keen sense of creativity. Being accountable for your actions and decisions while having an imaginative approach can truly elevate the experience for both guests and colleagues.
E: Tell us one thing about yourself that not many people know.
A: I love taking risks, sometimes I even like to do the opposite of what people tell me to do. The way I do things at work is within my own timeline. I’m a rebel, but with a cause.
