Restaurant Petrus has been around since 1991 and won and been nominated for many awards. The cooking method and food quality are cornerstones to the success of Restaurant Petrus. The kitchen is kept in shape under the leadership of Sous Chef Chung Kwok Wai, who has an extensive culinary pedigree.

Located at Level 56 of Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong, this restaurant accommodates 45 in the dining room, the Burgundy Room seats 15 and the Alsace Room accommodates 40. Restaurant Petrus is open daily for lunch from noon to 2.30PM and for dinner from 6.30PM to 10.30PM.

One of its highlights is the signature lamb from Aveyron in France. The grilled medium-rare meat is wonderfully tender and succulent, served alongside carefully selected herbs, a delicious sauce and a dab of cauliflower cream on the side. The generous portion was so good, it could even convert any non lamb-lovers out there! This dish is available at HKD760.

While waiting for the food to be freshly cooked, you are served a basket of French bread.

The menu is easy to read, with signature dishes clearly marked, as are those containing pork/nuts/beef, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. It also accommodates children aged 6 and above. The dress code is smart and elegant, with covered shoes, long-sleeved shirts/collared tops and appropriate long pants for gentlemen. No jeans, sandals or short-sleeved shirts are allowed.
