A favourite of many around the globe, tequila is slowly taking reign in the spirit world. Made beautifully from agave plants, the rise of tequila can be seen in the many products that are on the market right now. One of them is Cenote Tequila, which was created from start to finish by one of the biggest alcoholic suppliers, Stoli Group.

Inspired by the spectacular limestone cenotes scattered throughout Mexico,s Yucatán Peninsula, Cenote is a multi-award-winning ultra-premium agave azul tequila with a complex flavour profile that balances fragrant cooked agave with delicate notes. Led by Master Distiller Miguel Cedeño-Cruz, the production takes place entirely at the foot of Tequila Volcano in Jalisco, Mexico.

With three varietals available: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo, Cenote Tequila
is made with volcano water sourced from an artesian well located on the distillery,s grounds. The water goes through reverse osmosis and carbon filters with silver
ions to eliminate the chance of impurities.It is fermented in stainless steel columns before undergoing double-pot distillation and being aged in American oak bourbon barrels.

The Blanco mellows for three weeks before bottling, adding bright citrus and pepper notes from contact with the wood. The Reposado is aged for three months, delivering a round, harmonious palate of vanilla, wood, spice, and green vegetables. The Añejo is aged for one year to give it a deep, amber colour and produce a smoked, woody nose and vanilla. For a striking look, Cenote Tequila comes in a blue bottle adorned with vivid Yucatán illustrations and Mayan glyphs, honouring Cenotes and Chaac, the Mayan rain deity.
