Yves Saint Laurent’s Exhibition at Lyon restaurant

From 22nd April to 14th May, Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s Lyon restaurant welcomed theYves Saint Laurent, Birth of a Legend photo exhibition. The exhibition showcases the trials, tribulations and triumphs that Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé faced during their first ever collection with a series of photographs by French Photographer Pierre Boulat.

The stunning portrait of the behind-the-scene events that culminated in Saint Laurent’s first masterpiece was taken over a period of five weeks. The photographer Pierre Boulat and journalist Nadine Puissesseau had the privilege of covering the exposé.

In celebration of the stunning exhibition, Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s Executive Chef Cyril Calmet prepared four exquisite dishes. The menu highlighted Saint Laurent’s favourite dishes such as the glazed lamb with semolina and apricot, the asparagus salad with onion marmalade and comte cheese.
