Finessing the best of Cantonese cuisine, the Michelin-starred Summer Pavilion at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore celebrates its 20th anniversary with a special tasting menu.
An icon in Singapore’s culinary offering, the Summer Pavilion at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore is always at the forefront of bringing authentic flavours to the palate. Helmed by Chef de Cuisine Cheung Siu Kong, the fine eatery will present a special tasting menu to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Available from 16 to 18 August 2023, Chef Cheung Siu Kong is preparing a special tasting menu designed around five elements of taste – sweet, sour, bitter, spicy and salty that correlate with the chef’s life journey. Using twenty main ingredients, the tasting menu will take diners on a narrative of when Chef Cheung debuted at the age of 19 as a young chef, to becoming a father, memories of his hometown in Hong Kong and his travels.
Since taking over the helm at Summer Pavilion in 2014, the restaurant has achieved numerous accolades, including its first Michelin star in 2016 and its 2023 entry on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants extended list.
“This menu is a personal memoir as I look back on my twenty years at Summer Pavilion. I feel privileged to lead the culinary team, and I enjoy the camaraderie with the service team. I believe it is this passion and synergy that has established Summer Pavilion as a preeminent Cantonese restaurant in Singapore,” said Chef Cheung.
