Karl Lagerfeld, a name that resonates like a melody in the world of fashion, is synonymous with innovation, creativity and an unbeatable spirit. The late Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019, left a memorable mark on the fashion industry, having served as the creative director for Chanel and Fendi while also building an iconic legacy with his eponymous brand. His avant-garde approach to design, his signature high-collared white shirts, fingerless gloves and, of course, his omnipresent dark sunglasses, made him a powerhouse name in the fashion world.
The Lobby Lounge at Regent Beijing has been transformed into a haven where culinary artistry meets high fashion. The co-branded Afternoon Tea is a culinary and artistic marvel that honours both Regent Beijing’s dedication to quality and Lagerfeld’s classic style.
Upon entering the Lobby Lounge, guests are surrounded by an ambience of elegance and sophistication. The space is transformed into a visual feast, adorned with Lagerfeld’s iconic design elements – monochromatic palettes, clean lines and subtle touches of opulence. The tabletops are adorned with bespoke tableware and delicate floral arrangements, creating an ambience that mirrors the designer’s penchant for timeless beauty.
The Afternoon Tea menu, curated in collaboration with Lagerfeld’s discerning taste, features an array of delectable treats that pay homage to the designer’s favourite flavours and textures. Expect a delectable array of finger sandwiches adorned with intricately crafted patterns, paying homage to Lagerfeld’s meticulous attention to detail. The sweet offerings include pastries that resemble miniature works of art inspired by the legendary designer’s iconic creations.
