Alila Villas Uluwatu presents another mouthwatering epicurean event with Jakarta’s very own August.
Further cementing its position as the island’s dining destination, CIRE at Alila Villas Uluwatu is hosting another memorable culinary event by inviting August. From 16 to 18 June 2023, the stylish restaurant invites distinguished diners to enjoy a stunning 10-course tasting menu and a special Sunday brunch.
Bringing together two passionate chefs and their unique culinary flair, the event will see Chef Sheandy Satria of Alila Villas Uluwatu team up with August’s Chef-Owner Hans Christian to create memorable dishes.
Drawing inspiration from his travels and childhood memories, Chef Hans invites diners to immerse themselves in the stories behind his dishes, which champion fresh, local and seasonal ingredients sourced from around the archipelago. Chef Sheandy’s mastery of taking inspiration from local flavours and recreating them using western techniques provides the perfect match with inventive, flavourful results.
Guests can look forward to a variety of nibbles and appetisers for the four-hands dinner, including razor clam tempura and rabbit rillettes served with charcoal ‘cakwe’. Fresh flavours from the sea will include white fish with lemongrass and ham broth, while mouthwatering meat dishes will feature lamb short loin cooked with caramelised galangal, tomato curry and many more.
On 18 June, the Sunday brunch will be a casual affair starring a medley of lobster creations, beautifully prepared with the perfect balance of sweet, sour, spicy and umami flavours.
