One of Ubud’s most highly regarded restaurants, Locavore, is working with Marriott Bonvoy to bring its finest delicacies to the palates of distinguished diners in Jakarta.
In a time when people are travelling only with the highest precautions, Locavore and Marriott Bonvoy are masterminding an easy way for diners in Jakarta to indulge without having to book a plane ticket. Locavore City Breaks 2020 is an exciting joint programme with the well-known Ubud restaurant travelling to do pop-ups at Marriott properties in Indonesia.
The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta was the first hotel to host this excellent dining experience, which was held from 5 to 8 November 2020. The first leg of this culinary tour featured a combination of dinners with Locavore, a bar takeover with Night Rooster cocktails and a weekend feast by Butcher’s Table.
Locavore took over the hotel’s main restaurant, L’Avenue, to showcase its newest offerings from the Pancaroba Menu, which features some of its greatest hits snacks and main dishes for a nostalgic vibe. On Saturday, 7 November, the bar takeover by Night Rooster saw creative cocktails made by Head Alchemist Raka perfectly combine premium spirits with local fruits, herbs, vegetables and spices, while on Sunday, 8 November, Butcher’s Table tantalised all the carnivores with organic and ethical meats cooked as a feast for both eyes and taste buds.
The weekend event had a waiting list for the last two days; adhering to government social distancing protocols, only 35 to 40 guests could be seated each night.
