Executive Vice President of Bank BRI
A professional banker who is currently working as the Executive Vice President of Bank BRI, Dhoni lives by three main principles: work, life, balance. Social distancing and working from home didn’t stop him from staying focused on managing a nationwide team in the Retail Payment Business division. In fact, even during these tough times, he remains motivated and optimistic.
Q: How has the current situation changed your daily and work life?
Dhoni Ramadi: With social distancing being implemented, it’s inevitable that we have had to change our daily routines. Most of us have had no option but to start working from home, although this might be new, it shouldn’t hinder us from achieving our daily targets. Personally, this whole situation has helped me realise the importance of self-motivation and productivity. It has also brought me closer to my family.
Q: What banking products would you recommend that your customers use during this situation?
D: We currently live in an era where almost anything can be done digitally. Since all of us are advised to stay home, I recommend customers use our digital and mobile banking products. These will come in very handy during times like this because they have been developed so that you can make transactions without having to leave the comfort of your own home.
Q: What do you most miss, but can’t do now, due to the situation?
D: I think that what I miss most is physical encounters with people that I care about, and having the freedom to wander and explore new places.
Q: What is the first country you want to visit when the situation returns to normal and why?
D: When this whole pandemic is completely over, the first country I’d like to visit is the United States. It’s currently the country with the most confirmed cases and I am eager to see how they will interpret the idea of the new normal.
Q: What tips do you have for people out there to stay positive and healthy?
D: At unfortunate times like this, it’s easy for people to lose sight of hope. However, I think that within any situation, no matter how bad it is, there will always be a lesson that we can take to help better ourselves. We have to stay positive, remain alert and not be ignorant about the current situation that we’re living in. Hopefully when the whole situation has subsided, we can learn to appreciate even the smallest blessings in life.
