Award-winning Pastry Chef Janice Wong will elevate your weekend with a cocoa-filled merriment.
Chocolate lovers, rejoice! W Bali – Seminyak proudly presents a chocolate-filled weekend with internationally famed pastry chef and chocolatier from Singapore, Janice Wong. From 2 to 4 September 2022, the fun collaboration will see fun activities, including cacao planting, edible chocolate painting class and a special edition of Sunday brunch.
Wong is known for pushing the boundaries when it comes to dessert making. She has gained experiences and honed her skills with the world’s best chefs, such as Thomas Keller, Grant Achatz, Oriol Baaguer and Pierre Hermé. Furthermore, Wong has also received multiple accolades, including the Asia’s Best Pastry Chef for two consecutive years by The World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards.
Inspired by Wong’s passion to grow cacao trees across Asia, in addition to W Bali – Seminyak’s sustainability approach, plus initiatives to reduce food waste and plastic usage, as well as gardening to improve the environment and help reduce carbon footprint, the Chocolicious Weekend will plant cacao seeds at the resort’s 326sqm chef’s garden.
On Saturday, 3 September 2022, the special T Party with Janice invites guests to participate in the edible chocolate painting class at W Lounge. Marvel at Wong’s edible chocolate crayon and paint, be creative and consume your artwork afterwards.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, 4 September 2022, Wong will elevate the resort’s famous Sunday Brunch with her chocolate creations. On top of the wide range of culinary delights courtesy of W Bali – Seminyak’s Director of Culinary Norberto Palacios, Wong will present delectable chocolate buffet, as well as playful installations of hanging lollipops and colourful chocolate at the resort’s Great Room.
