Sling Bar can be credited for bringing back the US prohibition era-style speakeasy bar to Bali’s mixology scene, with its roaring 20s ambience and elusive lavishness – in addition to meticulously handcrafted cocktails and inspired drinks. Located on the mezzanine level of The Plantation Grill Seminyak, Sling Bar is like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Sophisticated, yet intimate, Sling Bar even has a secret door that leads to a concealed boudoir for an added touch of privacy.
When it first opened, Sling Bar highlighted its classic cocktails, emphasising the use of only the best quality ingredients and the correct techniques. The Negroni is one of the stellar libations at Sling Bar, and loyal patrons keep coming back for it until this day. That being said, the Sling Bar mixology team has added a bit of rock and roll to the intoxicating mix with its signature Rock And Roll Cocktail Collection.
Drawing inspiration from the legendary rock icons of the 70s, 80s and 90s era – including Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Santana and more – the menu features specially crafted rockin’ cocktails that will be served with headphones so you can listen to the matching tunes as you take a sip. The 70s section, for example, showcases intriguing drinks inspired by the era. Jimi Hendrix’ fans would immediately recognise that the Purple Haze is inspired by their idol’s hit. Elevating the classic gin and tonic to a new level, the Purple Haze boasts botanical ingredients, aromatic flavours and an attractive purple colour. Other gems from the era include Lynrd Skynrd-inspired Free Bird and Scorpions’ When The Smoke Is Going Down.
