Ahead of Chinese New Year this February, Table8 has prepared some dining delicacies to welcome the Year of the Dog. First in line is the signature yee sang – which translates to “prosperity toss” in English and symbolises fortune for the coming year. Then there’s the nian gao, the traditional cake made from glutinous rice in the shape of a koi fish. A symbol of prosperity, the nian gao also makes for a great Chinese New Year gift for loved ones.
